Coaching with Max
You are already enough. You just need someone in your corner to help you actually believe it.
Thanks for being here. If you landed on this page, something brought you here, and I don't think that's an accident.
Take your time reading through this. If anything resonates or you have questions, reach out at max.a.pete@gmail.com. If you're ready to take the next step, you can book a free discovery call.
I don't limit who I work with based on title or industry, but generally, the people I coach tend to be:
- 1.Burned out professionals
Who are over the hustle and ready to figure out what actually matters to them.
- 2.Community builders and leaders
Navigating the unique challenges of this work.
- 3.Creators and freelancers
Trying to build something sustainable without losing themselves in the process.
- 4.Founders and entrepreneurs
Who are scaling but feeling disconnected from why they started.
- 5.People who want a healthier relationship with money
And are tired of letting fear or shame run the show.
What they all have in common is this: they're done pretending everything is fine. They're ready to do the real work, and they want someone in their corner who actually gets it — not just someone with a framework and a template.
If you're looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do, I might not be the right fit. But if you want an honest, grounded space to figure out what you actually want and start moving toward it, let's talk.
"I leave each coaching call with Max feeling a greater sense of clarity, focus, and calm. By applying his vast freelancing experience to my career, he helped me tap into my strengths and close a massive client just a few days after our first session."
I'm Max. Community builder, writer, speaker, and someone who has been exactly where you might be right now.
For a long time, I measured my worth by how much I was doing. I stayed busy because being busy felt safe. I said yes to everything because saying no felt like falling behind. I built communities, took on freelance work, jumped from role to role, and kept pushing because slowing down felt terrifying.
And then I burned out. Like, really burned out. The kind where you're going through the motions, comparing yourself to everyone around you, and quietly wondering if any of it actually means anything.
I've been laid off, reignited, and everything in between. I've worked inside startups, led communities for companies like Square and Sprout Social, and spent years helping people feel like they belong somewhere. But for a long time, I didn't feel like I belonged anywhere either.
The money stuff made it worse. I grew up with a scarcity mindset around money — the kind that follows you into adulthood and shows up as anxiety, avoidance, and shame. It took real work to understand my relationship with money, heal it, and actually start building toward the future I wanted.
That's the work I do with people now. Not because I have it all figured out, but because I've been in it and I know what it looks like to find your way through.
You are already enough. My job is to help you actually feel that, and then figure out what to do with it.
Outside of coaching, I write a newsletter, DJ, and recently bought my first home in South Philly with my wife. I'm a big fan of dogs, coffee, and walkable cities.
Coaching with me can cover a lot of ground. Stop me if any of this sounds familiar.
- You're burned out, but you don't know how to slow down without everything falling apart
- You have no idea what you actually want next, and that scares you
- You keep saying yes to things that drain you and no to things that excite you
- You feel like everyone else has it figured out, and you're the only one who doesn't
- Money stuff makes you anxious, and you keep avoiding it
- You want to build something of your own, but you don't know where to start
- You feel like you don't belong anywhere, and you're not sure why
- You're doing okay on paper, but it doesn't feel okay on the inside
If any of that hit, hi. This is probably the right place.
I offer a few different ways to work together depending on what you need.
Monthly Retainer
This is for people who want ongoing support and a real coaching relationship. We meet twice a month, stay in touch between sessions, and build on each other over time. This is where the deepest work happens.
What's included
- 2 × 50-minute sessions per month
- Additional sessions when you need them at no extra cost
- Async support via email between sessions
- Reflections and follow-ups after each session
- Resources, reading, or tools based on what you're working through
- A low-pressure, honest space to figure things out
I ask for at least three months together. Not a contract, just a mutual commitment to doing the real work. That's usually when things start to actually move.
One-Off Sessions
Not ready for a full commitment or just want to try it out? Book a single session, and let's see what we can do in 50 minutes. A lot can happen in one honest conversation.
Async Support
Prefer to work through things in writing? I offer async coaching where we work through your questions and challenges over email or voice notes on your schedule. Great for people who process better by writing than talking.
A few things I want you to know before we work together.
- 1.I will always be honest with you.
Not harsh, but real. I'd rather tell you something true that's hard to hear than something comfortable that keeps you stuck.
- 2.I'm not here to give you all the answers.
You already have most of them. My job is to help you hear yourself more clearly.
- 3.Everything stays between us.
Our sessions are fully confidential. Say whatever you need to say.
- 4.I lead with empathy, not ego.
I've been through a lot of the same stuff you're navigating. I'm not above it, I'm just a little further down the road.
- 5.This should feel like a real conversation.
Not a performance. Not a therapy session with homework. Just two people actually talking.
"Max has a warm and friendly approach to coaching, like an angel on your shoulder, nudging you to do the things you say you want to do for yourself. He's encouraging and is flexible with the time he offers to support you."
I believe coaching should be accessible, so I try to keep things flexible.
If pricing is a barrier, reach out anyway. I'd rather find a way to make it work than have you not get the support you need.
If any of this resonated, I'd love to connect. Just a real conversation to see if working together makes sense.
I'm really glad you're here. — Max
